Job Title

Loader Operator/Batch Plant Hand

Location: Batch Plant

Pay Scale: Dependent Upon Experience

Work Hours: Dayshift | Varied hours | Some OT

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating front-end loaders or similar equipment is preferred


  • Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends & occasional nights


  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new responsibilities


  • Physical stamina to perform tasks and work in outdoor environments with exposure to various weather conditions
  • Knowledge of concrete industry is recommended but not required


  • Commitment to safety


  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment


  • Willingness to undergo drug screening and background checks as required by company policy and regulatory standards


  • Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures

Daily Duties

  • Operate front-end loaders to load aggregate materials, such as sand and gravel, into bins, hoppers, or conveyors according to production requirements.


  • Safely maneuver loaders in tight spaces and around equipment, structures, and personnel within the batch plant.


  • Monitor material flow and levels in bins and hoppers to prevent overfilling and maintain proper inventory levels.


  • Conduct pre/post shift inspections of loaders, batch plant and equipment to ensure proper functioning.


  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on loaders, hoppers, conveyors, water boiler, air compressor and water/air lines, throughout the batch plant.


  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the batch plant by removing debris, spills, and buildup of materials as needed.


  • Assist with other duties assigned, including general labor tasks, equipment operation and dispatch housekeeping, as necessary to support batch plant operations.


  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate tasks, troubleshoot issues, and maintain production schedules.


  • Assist with quality control checks and testing of concrete products, including slump tests, air content tests, and sample collection to ensure compliance of quality standards and customer specs.
