At Mesa Sand and Gravel, LLC, we offer a variety of ready-mix concrete solutions tailored for DIY customers and contractors. Our mixes are designed to meet specific project needs, whether you’re working on a home improvement project or a large commercial construction site. With superior strength and durability, our concrete ensures long-lasting results.
This concrete mix is great for DYI Customers who are looking to extend driveways, sidewalks, or patios. Contractors use this mix for retaining walls, footings, stem walls, business and city sidewalks, and even mobile home foundations. Fiber Mesh is encouraged due to shrinkage cracking and is more forgiving with the finish for customers who do not place concrete on a regular basis. Here are some examples of those placements. 3000 PSI Concrete will reach 3500 to 4200 PSI in 28 days if properly placed and finished, it is our most used mix with both DYI and Local Contractors.
3500 PSI concrete is rarely used but is a great mix. It breaks at 4000 to 4500 PSI in 28 days. It is primarily used when job site specifications require retaining walls, grade beams, city sidewalks, interior shop slabs exposed to heavy equipment, light poles, or drilled shafts for power poles. It does have the same finish ability as the 3000 and 4000 PSI mixes and cures the same way.
4000 PSI Concrete is primarily used by contractors where slabs will be exposed to heavy traffic, or bigger loads. Residential shops for boats, camper trailers/toy haulers, RV’s, farm equipment, ground floor foundations, dumpster pads, retaining walls, curb & gutter, or any structure where the concrete will be exposed to excessive amounts of weight or have that weight resting on the slab for an extended period of time. Our 4000 PSI Concrete will reach 4500 to 5000 PSI in 28 days
4500 PSI CONCRETE
These mixes are primarily used by contractors who are placing concrete in Power Plants, Mines, Water Treatment Plants, Dam Head Walls/Retaining Walls, Thick Irrigation Trenches, or Buildings where Heavy Heavy Equipment is either maintenanced or parked. Unless jobsite specifications call for these mixes they are rarely used.
